Already home to many local groups and gatherings, it’s a friendly community space where people can come together.
Whether you’re planning a meeting, celebration, rehearsal, class, or community gathering, our flexible spaces can be hired individually or combined to suit your event. We have four welcoming areas available: the entrance hall, the main body of the church, the Bainbridge Room, and the Batchelor Room.
The Entrance Hall is a bright and practical space, approximately 7.5 x 8 metres, ideal for welcoming guests, informal gatherings, refreshments, or smaller activities. It has laminate flooring, WCs, a ramp to an accessible WC, a TV monitor screen, radiator heating that can be controlled by the hirer, and access to the kitchen. Folding chairs and tables are available from the chair store. Rental: £18.50 per hour.
The main body of the church offers a spacious and atmospheric setting for larger gatherings, concerts, services, talks, choirs, bands, and community events. It has individual rowed seating for approximately 90 people, a carpeted floor, access to the organ or electronic piano, computer projection, fixed and roving microphones, and a CD player. The sanctuary can be cleared for larger choirs or bands, and gallery seating is also available. Heating is by arrangement. Rental: £37.00 per hour.
The Batchelor Room and the Bainbridge Room are comfortable, carpeted rooms on either side of the main body of the church, each approximately 6 x 4 metres. They are well suited to small meetings, discussion groups, children’s activities, quiet sessions, or break-out spaces. Each room has some perimeter pew-style seating, with individual chairs available, as well as a TV monitor for use when needed. Radiator heating is by arrangement, and electric convector heaters are also available. Rental: £11.00 per hour.
